We headed down to the Florida Keys a week before Bubbafest (a week long ride down the Florida Keys from Key Largo to Key West and back again) to feed Bubba and his crew that came down early to help clean up the bike paths in the wake of Hurricane Irma which went though the middle Keys like a a chain saw.
We stayed at Camp Sawyer (the Boy Scout Camp) for a week feeding all the volunteers that came down to clear debris not only from all the bike paths but at Camp Sawyer itself which was hit hard. Here are some photos of the devastation. It should be noted that we arrived approximately three weeks after Irma made landfall in the Keys so that should give you an idea of the amount of destruction that occurred.
